st georges logoPremier Training Services are proud to have been associated with St. George Healthcare Group NHS Trust as a preferred supplier of training services since 2009.

St. George Healthcare Group provide specialist care and rehabilitation services and are committed to providing the highest possible quality of patient centred care that respects the rights for dignity, privacy and individuality. St. George Healthcare Group currently has three specialist hospitals spread throughout the north west of England at Warrington, Chester and Oldham.

Each of the hospitals are responsible for specialist services, Warrington provides services for brain injury and autistic spectrum conditions, Oldham provides specialist treatment and rehabilitation services for people with deafness and mental health issues and Chester offers specialist open rehabilitation services for brain injury and most acute and long term neurological conditions.

We originally commenced provision of training services incorporating Food Safety, Equality and Diversity, and Moving and Transferring of people. However, more recently, we have been involved in creating and implementing a bespoke training programme comprising of the full Common Induction Standards (CIS), tailored to the exact requirements of our customer and their staff.

Working in close partnership with our customer, management and trainers commenced creating the programme and began deliveries in the spring of 2013, ensuring that all staff had the opportunity to access the training programme therefore receiving consistency across all of the staff teams.

Issues to resolve

  • Delivering a consistent training service in a format that fits with the operational requirements of our customer and is compliant with the requirements of CQC (the Care Quality Commission).
  • Create a bespoke training programme covering in detail all of the Common Induction Standards, whilst at the same time focusing on the specific needs and requirements of our customer to ensure that the training delivered is as relevant to their staff as possible.
  • Provide a cost effective training solution and trainer expertise to deliver a broad range of specialist topics.
  • Ensure that our staff and trainers established a comprehensive understanding of the services provided by our customer in order to best create and deliver the bespoke training requirements to their staff.


  • We met with the Corporate Learning Development Managers at St. George Healthcare Trust and discussed their requirements fully. The proposed content of the course deliveries were provisionally agreed upon.
  • We identified specialist trainers and consultants within our team best qualified for this request, based not only upon their qualifications but also on their previous occupational experience. Our team then commenced creating the course deliveries for the approval of our customer.
  • We regularly updated our customer with progress, providing draft copies of all prepared content and deliveries which were then endorsed by senior members of their staff. Once the final content had been agreed upon we made arrangements to deliver a pilot course in order to establish feedback from managers and delegates attending to ensure that we had understood fully and delivered to our customer’s exact requirements.
  • Once the programme had been approved we provided, both initially and on an ongoing basis, full customer support to ensure that all deliveries ran smoothly. We maintain regular telephone content and customer service visits are undertaken as and when required in order to discuss changing needs and to ensure as always that our customer remains 100 percent satisfied with our services.
