Background to BRC Global Standards – What is BRC? BRC is a Food Safety Management System set up by the major retailers including Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury’s. Originating around 1998 to enable suppliers to be audited against a single standard, it has since become global, used by over 14,000 companies in 90 countries and the standards cover Food Packaging and Distribution, as well as Food Manufacturing. Our Managing Director Bob Waller, with almost 30 years experience in retail, catering, manufacturing and distribution, personally oversees the consultancy arm of our business. Bob is a highly qualified food technologist and provides mentoring and ongoing support to our team of consultants, each of whom are matched to your organisation by their individual occupational experiences and background.
